Dear friends and family,
As you know, my beloved toy, the Laser is getting on in years. It has a passle of miles on
it.
So, guess what? I went out and bought a new car - a 2000 Mitsubishi Diamante. Yeah, I know it isn’t a butt rocket, but, hey, maybe I’m over this mid-life crisis sports car thing. Now it is time for a symbol of success (whatever that is). Check it out and enjoy my enjoyment.
Heather and I went out on Thursday September 28th just to look at a few cars. We looked at
the new Eclipses, and test drove one.
But Mitsubishi isn’t putting turbo’s on them anymore. Boo Hoo. They put a V-6 in, added about 800 pounds, and the car has gone the way of all great cars - a land barge, and just as fast.
So I looked at other models, all very mundane. Then the salesman asked if I might be
interested in a manager’s model. It had 5789 miles on it, but boy was it loaded, and marked down $4500. It was nice.

Hi,
My nickname
is Bro. The name comes from a transmogrification of "brother" which stuck over the years, and is not a title. I am a successful businessman,
property owner, and gentleman.
As President
of my own company, I travel a lot, consulting for many large and prestigious clients all over the world. My clients include companies like QVC
Network, The University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, EDS, Sprint Spectrum, TVSN in Australia, and many others.
But success
in the world does not translate well into success in life. There is really nothing innately satisfying about career. The only thing of value in life
is sharing with those we love. Love is the cake. All else is just icing.

It was loaded with everything.
Then Heather chimed in with her dislike for the Laser (hard to get into and out of), and put on the full court press.
Oh the pressure.
Well, we raked the salesman over the coals, and even with my bad credit history, got the car for no money down, no trade in, 5.9% interest, and about $500 over invoice price. They even threw in an after-market tape player so I can listen to books.
Heather is a brutal negotiator. She had this guy running back and forth from the manager’s office like a
dervish. They kept trying to jack the price up, once they saw my credit report. But Heather kept demanding even more concessions. Finally the salesman caved and gave
us everything we wanted, except I had to come up $100 on the price.
Well, take a look at he car. I also have uploaded some pictures of where I am staying. Have a look.
Love and kisses,
Uncle Broie
