Some use this verse to argue it is impossible for man to be righteous, or in other words, that it is impossible to escape from sin, that the Christian is doomed to always obey Satan. But the Bible says otherwise. There are 510 verses in the Bible on righteous or righteousness. About half of them refer to men considered to be righteous. If the scriptures refer to hundreds of men as being righteous, then Is 64:6 does not nullify those verses. In the NT we have this verse: 1Jo 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. This verse even equates our righteousness to Jesus' righteousness. How about that!
