My goal never is to use scripture to condone sin. Rather, my goal is to be true to scripture. If I say that, 'I'm perfect' in my own flesh or in my own righteousness, then the next logical step is to say that, 'nothing I do is sin'. Sorry I'm not going down that road. Matthew 5 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (KJV) My aim and desire are to press toward the mark of perfection in grace and holiness. Philippians 3 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (KJV)
